We are seeking an Accounting Administrative Assistant for our Charlotte, North Carolina office who can support the day-to-day operations of the firm. As an accounting clerk, you will support the accounting team with managing and organizing financial documents and assisting the department with various tasks to ensure accurate financial record-keeping. As an administrative assistant you will assist the firm’s managing principal in coordinating and dissemination of meeting minutes for various meetings, scheduling and calendaring certain events as well as preparing firmwide emails and other external communications on her behalf.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Maintain accounting documents in an organized manner.
  • Assist in data entry of financial transactions.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Assist with other accounting functions as assigned by the accounting team.
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, appointments, and conference calls.
  • Prepare agendas and minutes for attorney and leadership meetings.
  • Prepare documents, presentations, and reports as needed.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodation, as needed.
  • Provide administrative support for various projects, including research, data collection, and coordination of resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support special events, meetings, or projects as needed.
  • Prepare communications, to include emails and memos, internally and externally on behalf of the managing principal or any member of leadership.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a similar role or familiarity with accounting procedures and administrative experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, be resourceful and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
