We are seeking a Human Resource Assistant who can provide support to the Human Resource department and Human Resource Manager ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This role involves assisting with recruitment efforts, managing employee records, benefits administration, and various HR functions to help maintain a positive and compliant work environment.
Our Human Resource Assistant is a proactive individual who is comfortable working independently, can manage competing priorities, detail-oriented and has a sense of urgency. This person is a team player who is committed to honesty, integrity, and supporting the efficient and smooth day-to-day operations of the firm.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including filing, data entry, and preparing reports.
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS (Human Resource Information System).
- Assist with benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.
- Partner with our in-house recruiter to coordinate onboarding activities.
- Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other related matters.
- Assist with the implementation of training and development programs.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Help organize employee engagement initiatives and wellness programs.
- Assist with payroll processing.
- Ensure accurate records of attendance, overtime, and leave.
- Handling coordination of HR meetings, HR related events, and creating agendas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of administrative experience
- Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and payroll software is a plus
